The UFC has included an additional Cage Warriors winner to the roster following Mason Jones declared that he’s inked a 4-combat deal with the promotion.
Jones confirmed the information in a submit on his Instagram account.
“Friday Oct 9th I signed a 4-combat agreement with UFC, the largest & most effective MMA organization in the environment,” Jones wrote. “The instant when my desire turned a fact.”
Undefeated through the 1st 10 fights of his career, Jones recently turned a two-division champion in Cage Warriors when he claimed the vacant welterweight title with a first round knockout versus Adam Proctor.
That combat arrived soon after Jones won the lightweight title with another very first-round knockout towards Joe McColgan.
It’s unclear at this time which bodyweight class Jones will emphasis on now that he’s in the UFC but definitely he has practical experience competing at equally 155 lbs and 170 kilos.
Jones joins a very long line of former Cage Warriors standouts to join the UFC roster, none more renowned than Conor McGregor, who was also a two-division champion when he fought for the European marketing.
