Bellator president, Scott Coker admits he is amazed the UFC has unveiled so many significant-profile names, but understands it is great for his promotion.
Recently, Dana White unveiled the UFC would be releasing 60 fighters, and currently names like Yoel Romero, Anderson Silva, and Rumble Johnson have been enable go. Romero and Johnson finished up signing with Bellator wherever Coker is aware of fighters want to be here and they are a greater fit.
“At the end of the day, I assume the fighters required to be right here,” Coker claimed to MMAFighting. “They created the go to be listed here. I assume every a person of those people fellas experienced unique situation with their previous employer and I don’t imagine that they desired to get this battle or that fight and some ultimatums have been thrown all around is what I listened to. It just didn’t work out. Also poor for them, excellent for us and now look at that mild heavyweight division we have..”
When individuals substantial-profile names will make their debuts are uncertain. On the other hand, a lot of hope Romero and Johnson will have their Bellator debuts versus just about every other in what would be a significant battle for the business.
Bellator is set to return in February 2021 and the target is to have 22-26 functions in 2021.
