Neiman Gracie’s relentless pursuit of a submission finish inevitably proved productive, as he completed Jon Fitch in the co-major event of Bellator 246 to declare a notable scalp in the promotion’s expertise-wealthy welterweight division.
Faced with seasoned veteran Fitch, Gracie identified it difficult to set absent the longtime contender, who defended admirably to stem the ceaseless tide of submission tries from the Brazilian in Round 1. But, inevitably, Gracie found a crack in Fitch’s defenses and exploited it.
