Abdelaziz Suggests Khabib’s Father Is Progressing
For the duration of an interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Abdelaziz mentioned that Abdulmanap is progressing in the medical center.
“Khabib is incredibly strong, his household is very robust and his father is pretty sturdy,” Abdelaziz explained to ESPN. “He’s enhancing. He opened his eyes, responding a minimal bit — very good indication. Allah is in handle. We have faith he will be superior, but at the close of the day, it is entirely up to his well being whether it progresses or not. But he’s progressing, and we’re pretty delighted about this.”
Khabib had strategies to return as shortly as July for a title unification bout versus interim title holder Justin Gaethje. Owing to the state of his father’s overall health, Khabib is now aiming for a return to action in September. “The Eagle” has not competed since Sept. 2019 when he submitted Dustin Poirier to keep his UFC light-weight championship.
There have been times when Abdulmanap wasn’t equipped to enter the United States to be in his son’s corner for fights. Even so, Khabib’s father has often created his presence felt. Usually instances in involving rounds, Khabib’s mentor Javier Mendez will remind “The Eagle” of “father’s system.”
Khabib will hope to remain targeted when he returns from an opponent as challenging as Gaethje. “The Highlight” captured interim gold by stopping the 12-struggle winning streak of Tony Ferguson. Gaethje is driving a 4-fight profitable streak with finishing victories above Ferguson, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Edson Barboza, and James Vick.
Of class, Khabib is no slouch himself. He holds a stellar pro MMA history of 28-. He’s crushed the likes of Conor McGregor, Poirier, and Rafael dos Anjos to name a few.
