Glover Teixeira is hunting to be the backup fighter to Jan Blachowicz vs. Israel Adesanya at UFC 259.
Following Teixeira defeated Thiago Santos, several believed the Brazilian should battle Blachowicz for the belt. Nonetheless, the UFC wished to reserve a champ-champ fight against Adesanya and now Teixeira is on the sidelines.
